Tips for Creating Dynamic Cinematic Presentations
When presenting on a big stage with a large screen, the goal is often to transform your talk into a truly cinematic experience. Keynote (and PowerPoint, etc.) offers powerful, yet simple, tools that can achieve professional-grade visual effects. In this video tutorial on creating cinematic presentations using Keynote software, I’m sharing tips for presenting on large stages. In the video below, I focus on two primary techniques: utilizing the Magic Move tool (Morph in PowerPoint) to achieve the “Ken Burns effect” or a dynamic zoom with photographs, which involves duplicating slides and adjusting image scale and position to create subtle, dramatic motion. Additionally, I show you how to place text behind objects within a slide frame to add depth, achieved by using the Remove Background tool to cut out part of an image and layer it over the text. I touch briefly ton advanced animation techniques, such as creating transparent animated shapes to produce effects like lens flares, and shows numerous examples of these techniques applied to high-resolution images.
